A Message from the Development Committee

But as for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it— who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty. — Matthew 13:23

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. — Galatians 5:22–23

At the Church of the Incarnation, we are living today in the richness of a harvest grown from seeds planted long ago. Generations before us sowed many seeds without knowing what fruit might come. They built this church, nurtured its ministries, and cultivated a community that would thrive far beyond their time. Thanks to their faith and sacrifice, we are able to pursue our mission of uniting all people with God and one another in Christ. Today it’s our turn to plant.

Each time we show up—to sing, to pray, to listen, to serve, and to give—we are planting seeds. When we teach our children, care for one another, stand for justice, or extend welcome to the stranger, we are tending the garden of our church’s life and mission. These actions may seem small, but they hold the promise of deep and lasting fruit, both now and for generations to come.

Some fruit is visible right away: the warmth of community, the beauty of music, the joy of children’s laughter echoing in the courtyard. Other fruit ripens slowly: a life transformed, a calling discovered, a faith renewed. But all of it springs from the same soil, nurtured by our collective care, generosity, and commitment.

Your financial support is part of the ecosystem of this church. It supports the worship, outreach, education, music, hospitality, and stewardship that make Incarnation a vibrant and welcoming place. It allows us to dream boldly and serve faithfully. It ensures that we, too, are planting seeds that will bear fruit long after we’re gone.

We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give. Every pledge—no matter the size— is a vital part of sustaining our ministry. Together, we will keep sowing. And by God’s grace, we will keep sharing the fruit.
