Incarnation Goes Green
Almighty God, whose loving hand has given us all that we possess: Grant us grace that we may honor you with our substance and, remembering the account which we must one day give, may be faithful stewards of your bounty, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Incarnation is going green!
This summer the Church of the Incarnation is shining a light on climate solutions by installing a new roof and solar panels on Farlander Hall, in our commitment to be good stewards of God’s creation. The roof has been mended the last few years and now needs to be completely replaced. Roofing materials will add layers that will improve temperature control in Farlander and the pitch will be slightly changed so we do not have the same problems with leaks due to the flat line of the roof. We are installing solar panels to lessen our carbon footprint and our electricity bill. We can use the savings to augment the church’s annual budget and to provide for other projects for the church.
Fundraising for the roof and solar project
The cost of the new roof and solar panels for Farlander Hall is $240,000. We already have $40,000 assured, so our fundraising goal is reduced to $200,000.
Our goal is to raise the entire amount with donations from the congregation. Any additional funds we will need to borrow. The fundraising campaign will run from Sunday, April 11, to Pentecost Sunday, May 23. You can make a one-time donation or pledge a gift over the next three years. The donation form is included in the fundraising campaign packet.
In recognition of the donors to this project, a commemorative plaque, featuring miniature solar panels with the names of every donor, will be displayed in Farlander Hall. Help us build a beautiful solar array to celebrate our commitment to good stewardship of God’s creation.
