Eucharistic Ministers and Acolytes
Together with the clergy, Eucharistic Ministers serve God’s people by nourishing them with the Body and Blood of Christ through the ministration of communion. Eucharistic ministers serve the consecrated Bread and Wine, and generally assist in other roles in the liturgy as well. Acolytes are not licensed to serve the Bread or Wine but assist in other roles, including carrying the cross and torches in procession.
Ways to be involved:
- Eucharistic Minister. Eucharistic Ministers are adults who go through a period of training and receive a license from our Diocese to do this ministry.
- Acolyte. Acolytes can be youth or adults. No license is needed, just some training and orientation.

Meeting Schedule: Eucharistic Ministers and Acolytes serve one or more times per month, usually at their regular service of attendance, and may be asked to serve during other Sunday services and at funerals or other special services, as needed.
