Wednesday, October 23, 6:00-8:00 p.m.: "Roots of the War for Palestine: Part 2" Potluck Dinner and Conversation
As the devastating war in Gaza, the West Bank, Israel, Lebanon, and Iran continues, we are invited to a special opportunity to learn more about the roots of this conflict.
Our own Dr. Lisa Pollard, a recently retired professor of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, will lead an evening of learning and reflection. Join us on Wednesday, October 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Farlander Hall, for "Roots of the War for Palestine: Part Two," in which Lisa will help us explore the historical context behind the current conflict. This is a follow-up to the first session we held back in May.
We'll start with a potluck dinner, then hear a presentation from Lisa and continue with some open conversation with both Lisa and Pastor Stephen before closing the evening with Compline. Nursery care will be available.
Please sign up at the link below to RSVP and bring something to share.
