Nominate Yourself for Vestry or Convention Delegate
At our Annual Parish Meeting on January 26 following the 10:15 service, we will elect new members of our Vestry as well as Delegates to represent us at our annual Diocesan Convention next fall. Are you called to serve in one of these important ministries?
Our Vestry is our board of lay leaders who, together with the Rector, share responsibility for the parish's overall leadership and governance. Serving on Vestry is a significant responsibility, and can also be extremely rewarding. Vestry members are elected for a three-year term and participate in monthly meetings, an annual overnight retreat, and a midyear Saturday workshop. Here's more about Vestry responsibilities.
Diocesan Convention is the annual gathering of all the clergy and lay delegates from our Diocese of Northern California. This year it will meet in Redding on Friday-Saturday, November 7-8, 2025. Delegates represent our congregation in voting on resolutions, and participate in the worship, fellowship, and learning of Convention. Incarnation offers financial support for Convention registration and travel expenses.
Candidates for Convention Delegate must have been members of the parish and givers of record for at least 6 months and must have received Holy Communion at least once in the past year. Candidates for Vestry must fulfill the same requirements and also must have made a financial pledge for 2025.
To nominate yourself for Vestry, Convention Delegate, or both, please fill out the online form at the link below.
