Journey Center Class: The Gospel of Mary of Magdala
From time to time our friends at the Journey Center share announcements about classes and events they are offering. The Gospel of Mary, a second-century early Christian text, forms the basis for this course.
Who was Mary of Magdala? What does the Gospel of Mary reveal about the teachings of Jesus? What happened to erase Mary Magdalene and the pages of her Gospel from the history of Christianity for more than 1500 years? Through guided study, discussion, and personal reflection, we will explore the radical teachings of the Gospel of Mary, as well as engage in discovering a truthful portrait of Mary of Magdala – “the woman at the heart of Christianity.”
Classes: Thursdays, August 1-8-15-22-29 from 10 to 11:30am. Fee: $50. Register HERE https://www.journeycentersantarosa.org/event/new-class-the-gospel-of-mary-of-magdala/2024-08-01/
