Thursday November 30, 6:30 p.m.: Incarnation's 150th Anniversary Service & Reception
Please join us for a special service to celebrate 150 years of worship and community outreach at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation on Thursday, November 30th at 6:30 pm. Our bishop, the Rt. Rev. Megan Traquair, will preside and our rector, the Rev. Stephen Shaver, will preach. A reception will follow the liturgy. There will be pictorial displays of our history, commemorative gifts and a wonderful array of appetizers and drinks. Child care will be provided.
If the church reaches its full seating capacity, we will have an overflow seating area available in Short Hall with a livestream of the service. Communion will be brought to those seated there. If you’d like the best chance of being seated in the church, please plan to arrive early. There is plenty of room for everyone at the reception afterward!
As a reminder, all are invited to wear red, the color of our celebration. There’s limited parking in our lot at 633 Cherry Street and plenty of public parking in the large city garage across the street; the entrance is around the corner at 521 7th Street. If you walk out the north end of the garage, you’ll find yourself on 10th Street near the Sonoma Cutlery shop, right across Mendocino Avenue from the church (see map here). Weeknight garage parking is free for the first hour and $0.50/hour afterward.
The service will also be livestreamed on our normal Zoom link and on Facebook, and YouTube. The service bulletin is available for download here.
We look forward to seeing you on November 30th as we continue the work and fellowship of those who have gone before us.
