Imagine Incarnation: Online Survey Now Available | Church of the Incarnation

At the Annual Meeting, Stephen announced that we'd be sending out a link to an online survey for our Imagine Incarnation process. That survey is now live. Our Generational Plan Task Force wants to invite everyone at Incarnation to please take some time to complete it. This will let you share your perspective on some possible "new uses" we could consider adding to our campus in the future, as well as thoughts about any improvements you might hope for for our church building itself.

This is a version of the paper survey that was given out at our most recent Imagine Incarnation workshop in November, with a couple of additional questions added. Whether or not you already completed a paper survey, please do this one too. The results of both the paper and digital surveys will be tracked separately.

Please complete the survey before January 28. The vestry will be looking at the responses at our Vestry Retreat in early February and we'll share the results back with the congregation shortly after that.

Our architectural team from Siegel and Strain will be using our survey responses to plan our next congregational workshop sometime this spring. Please stay tuned for a date announcement. We've had great energy and creativity at our congregational workshops this fall and we hope to keep hearing everyone's input in as many ways as possible.

In addition to the survey, remember that you can work anytime with one of the campus model kits in Farlander Hall, and you can email comments, questions, and ideas to our task force at [email protected]. We are working together to imagine how our campus can best serve God's mission in the future.

Incarnation is located at 550 Mendocino Avenue in downtown Santa Rosa, just south of the corner with Cherry Street.

Our church parking lot is located around the corner at 636 Cherry Street. The lot often fills up for our Sunday morning services. Additional free church parking is available in the small gravel lot at the corner of Mendocino and Cherry, or in the city garage at 521 7th Street (free on Sundays), which is a two-minute walk from the church. Finally, street parking is also free on Sundays.

We're also located close to several bus lines, and we have a bike rack in the central courtyard.

Children aren't just the church's future—they're an essential part of our faith community right now. At Incarnation we strive to serve our kids' growing faith, and we know they have much to teach adults, too. Children are always welcome in worship: any age, any time.

Episcopal worship follows an ancient pattern that dates to the earliest days of the Christian church. The first half of the Eucharist is the Liturgy of the Word the second half is the Liturgy of the Table, also called Holy Communion. If you've spent time in Episcopal, Roman Catholic, Lutheran, or Eastern Orthodox churches, much of our liturgy will seem familiar. If you're unfamiliar with liturgical Christian worship, don't worry. You're welcome to participate as fully as is right for you, or to just relax into the liturgy and let the rest of the congregation carry you in worship.
