Coming Up in April: Advance Care Planning Workshops

Stephen Shaver
“Teach us to number our days,” says the Psalmist, “that we may incline our hearts to wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Our scriptures remind us that our life on this earth is short, not so that we might despair, but so that we might put our trust in God, whose love is eternal. As people of faith, we can acknowledge and even befriend our mortality.
One way to do that is to plan ahead. Making plans for our healthcare wishes as we age, for our spiritual and practical hopes for the end of our lives, and for our financial legacy is a gift to ourselves and our loved ones. It helps us ensure the things we value most will be at the forefront even when we can’t make decisions for ourselves.
Here at Incarnation we are blessed with some remarkable leaders with extensive experience in hospice, spiritual care, estate planning, and more. Several of these leaders have come together to plan a rich and detailed Advance Care Planning Workshop which we’ll offer here on three Saturdays in April. In the future we hope to offer this workshop more widely in our diocese and broader community.
Please see the notice below for more information and a registration link. I hope you’ll be able to join us for this enriching experience.
In Christ’s love,
Stephen
