Art on the Move
The Windows@Incarnation public art project, displayed at the front of the church on Mendocino Avenue, was dedicated on Sunday June 12, 2022.It was always envisioned as a temporary work of art, with its many discs of colorful handwritten messages gently fading in the sunshine. Now two years later, we decided to extend its viewable life by moving it from the public space into the privacy of our inner campus, at a height more accessible for parishioners to enjoy.
We invite you to take a fresh look at the Windows now located under the walnut tree along our southern fence line. We hope its location draws you near, and provides an appealing backdrop to the children’s play area.
The original installation crew of Jan Hicks, David Jasper, John Nykamp, and Richard Ballou made the big move, with a helping hand from Steve Layton. Unfortunately for them, their installation two years ago was so securely installed to insure public safety, that removing it was terribly difficult. Whew! We hope you enjoy it.
