The Congregational Commission on Ministry (CCOM)

The CCOM’s primary function is to grow into being a prayerful group working within the congregation of Church of the Incarnation to help discern and support people in their various calls to ministry, lay and ordained. The CCOM functions in an advisory capacity to the Rector in regard to licensed and lay ministries, as well as ordained ministries.

It works with individuals prayerfully to help discern where God might be inviting them at a particular point in time, and it works with the congregational leadership to identify, raise up and support members of the congregation in their formation for diverse ministries. In addition, the CCOM serve in a key advisory role to the Bishop and the Diocesan Commission On Ministry in the process of discernment and support for those who may be called to ordained ministry.

The CCOM is an on-going commission of Church of the Incarnation, meeting on an as needed basis. Members are appointed by the Rector, usually at the recommendation of the CCOM Chair and current members. Anyone interested in serving on the CCOM should contact the Rector.

Anyone wishing to work with the CCOM for help and support in discernment in their call to ministry must be referred by the Rector, and they should contact the Rector directly.
